Chit Chat

I want to give you a little insight into the blogroll on the right column and what it includes.

The middle childs blog: This is my middle childs blog and I hope you take the time to visit it often. She manages to update if regularly and you never know what you are going to see next. It runs from tears to comedy to just plain amusement as she handles the stress of modern day life. Part of her job description is keeping track of dead beat fathers and I think this is why she helped me with my blog. She now knows where I can be found.

The baby of the family has been forced into a blog (sounds familiar) by another in the family (That would be the middle child). It is a little early to see how much time and talent she puts into it but I am sure you will be treated to the goings on in her active life. Those of you who knew my two sisters will relate to Nikki being Charlotte of the family and Joni leaning more towards Darlene of the family. That would be the nicest way of wording it.

The Fraternal Order of Paters website. We refer to them as the F.O.P. This is the web-page for my main information on genealogy. Bram Pater is a distant relative who has provided me with much information and we have sent a lot of information to him to be included in a book he is in the process of writing on the Amerongen Paters. Also on this site I put out a request for a relative and found Maartje. She is the great grand-daughter of Gerrit Paters’ youngest sister. They also put out a very good magazine called “Het Paterje.” With the cost of money orders and the exchange rate the magazine ends up being rather expensive but they give a good report on each family clan. If you can’t figure out how to navigate the site as it is in Dutch contact me and I will give you some good hints in future posts.

  1. No, no, no. You are now a blogger — your life is an open book. You will need to post at least 2-3 times a week on different topics. :) Have fun with it!!
